Elizabeth has coached over 35 primary and post-primary school principals on a one-to-one basis, these principals lead a broad range of schools to include both rural and urban schools, DEIS and special needs schools. Elizabeth has coached principals on a broad range of issues including In School Management (ISM) team building, curricular change management, creating and implementing school policies, delegation, staff development, performance management, conflict resolution and fostering relationships with Boards of Management, parents and the Department of Education and Skills Inspectorate. Some of the outcomes reported by principals include:
– Greater focus and productive use of time
– Improved leadership skills – More delegation and less micro-management |
– Increased self-awareness and confidence
– More effective strategies for dealing with conflict – Greater work/life balance and ability to self-regulate emotions |
Elizabeth has an innate ability to connect with school leaders and collaborates with them to come up with practical and concrete solutions connected to the achievement of goals. She supports clients to overcome self-limiting thoughts, empowers them to harness their strengths and learn new ways of dealing with emerging and recurring issues.

Testimonials
“Coaching for principals has without a doubt been the most useful resource I have ever engaged with to support my work as a principal. Having the opportunity to explore different issues with someone removed from school and education has been extremely beneficial and rewarding. As a coach, Elizabeth has been a constant source of support. Her gentle but straightforward and thought-provoking approach has allowed me to explore and develop many aspects of my leadership style. Under her guidance I have enhanced my skills, gained greater insight into myself and grown stronger as a leader. All principals should support themselves by availing of this fantastic coaching service.”
“Elizabeth was my Coach during the 2019/20 Academic year. Elizabeth played a hugely important role in my life as Principal. This was beneficial on a variety of fronts in terms of my mental well-being, guidance re prioritising tasks in a COVID time of much upheaval, helping me to tease out problems and address them myself, planning the way ahead and provided practical resources for me to share with all members of the school community. I look forward to Elizabeth working with our SMT next year.”
